My very first brand new bike .. a 1979 Kawasaki LTD 1000 and oh was this baby fast. I had put on the K&N hi-flow air filters, Kerker 4-into-1 headers and an Accel ignition coil with 8mm wires (scan of a Polaroid).

My bike has a Kerker and K&N's, too.laugh Only mine is a little newer, it's a 1990.

I didn't care for the breather system that came with the stage 7 jet kit, so I made my own bracket & put the breather filter between the air filters.

A photo of my wife's project car.  1969 Camaro SS.  It started life as a small block car, but prior to me owning it a big block had found its way under the hood.  It is still under some fine improvements and actually has seen the road after 4-years of work.  It currently houses a 427 big block and M20 4-speed.  Series 40 Flowmasters and no radio, who needs a radio anyway.

Nice! The '69 Camaro has always been my favorite of the 1st gen. Back in the 80's, I knew a guy with a '69 Firebird who wrecked the front end...he put a Camaro RS front end on it & painted everything to match. That poor car had a real identity crisis.lol2

My daily driver is a 2001 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner pickup truck, that I use to perform work, tow stuff and get me from A to B in an efficient, reliable manner.  2.7L In-Line 4; A.R.E. Cap; Line-X Bed Liner; Reese Receiver, Draw Bar & Ball; Helwig Rear Anti-sway Bar; K&N Air Filter

Tt

I had the choice to select from Ford, Chevy, GM, Dodge, etc. but after careful review of my options, analysis of the specifications and due diligence of a lot of other factors, decided that an import was the best choice for my specific needs.

OK here is one of mine from back in the 80's.  1971 Jaguar E-type (XKE) 4.2L fixed head coupe two seater, red leather Conoloy interior with Pirelli P3's, British gun metal gray metallic, wire wheels, 4 speed, triple SU carbs dual overhead cam, running a race ground set of Isky competition cams and chains and oversized valves. 10:1 compression, Ansa headers and dual tuned exhausts, 3.07 posi rear with a red line of 6500 RPM.  That car would go stupid fast, in fact I've never gone faster on four wheels in anything else.  Lets just say that two miles a minute was nothing and it kept on going.  Not the fastest from a standing start but MAN did that thing have top end.  I need to find some more and better pictures of it but here is one at Penn State in the spring of 1985 with my roommate sitting on the bonnet.  BTW that was his 66 Mustang beside it.

That car was a total chick magnetwink

Regrettably I sold it in the late 80's when I got married.  Wish I still had it today it would be worth a small fortune.  BTW I paid $2K for it in 1982. scan0001.jpg

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Both photos taken Fall of 2015.  Couldn't find any photos of my rebuilt  1988 GMC C3500 with flatbed. I am a glutton for projects.  Now, if I only had the ones I let go.  1955 Chev. 2 door hard top, 1956 Chev. 2 door dedan, 1957 Chev. convertible, 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible and a 1964 GTO convertible. Powder blue with white top and interior.  GTO  was one of the first ones out.  Nothing more really than a Tempest with the 389 and a three speed with Hurst floor shift.  I would give almost anything to have it back.  If we only knew then what we know now.PICT0025.JPGImage Enlarger

Good grief, that is a huge pic!!

Love the old Econoline, even though my PC wants to kill yours over that pic.broken-computer

Anyway...my HS shop teacher had a dark blue one in...ohhh...1981. It had an anemic six banger, I kept hammering him to put a ground-pounder in there, but he never caved. I could have built that baby into a real sleeper...but he wanted to keep it stock & hum-drum. Too bad. No idea what happened to that old van after I graduated & moved on...

My friend's 2002 Cobra Mustang a couple days ago when he hit an uninsured motorist, who ran a red light trying to cross 4-lanes.  He's pretty messed up, but will live.

Be careful out there my friends !

Had to sell it when I got stationed overseas, but I was already accumulating parts for a new project.

I restored Dean's Firebird photo, restored his GT Vega photo and added two more of his Vega.

Dang all the good stuff!  How we all wish we had the ones we parted with!   My older brothers 69 super bee black over yellow 383 ram air, would be one of them!  Now I have to ask do you have the Vega?   I went through several Vegas in my younger days!

Wow Dean, those Mickey Thompson valve covers bring back a lot of memories.  I haven't seen a set of those in a LONG time.

I had the exact same thought!
