I'm just a poor machinist, but still have fun with diesel trucks!
That's my 1994 (Actually a 1995) Ford F250. It was one of the first Powerstrokes Ford made. I got it when I was first getting going, bought it for $800. The powerstroke never did run right, still I hauled alot of stuff! In the first picture, what you can't see below the wheel borrows on top is the mother load of hold downs, cutters, steel, etc. From previous loads where I went over scales, I'd say there was about 4-5,000 pounds of stuff on there. Finally a couple years ago, I had a trailer with a #2 Cincinnati centerless grinder, and Nichols mill behind 'er. There was well over 10,000 pounds on the trailer. Started smelling antifreeze, was on the highway where I couldn't pull over. Shortly, I had no choice, it started missing, and stalled. Bottom radiator hose blew off. Let it cool down, and got water out of the stream I stopped right by. (God watching over me!) Friend came to rescue, in his 70's Chevy pickup. Since I got it running, I drove the rig back, and he followed me. Good thing, there is a big hill going here into Richmond, ran out of power...what do you do when your're in first gear and it won't go and there is whole line of traffic behind you? I did all I could think of revving 'er to the sky and trying to slip the clutch, no go. My friend in the Chevy got on the trailer ramps and pushed me the short distance we had to go. Talk about an experience!
Got the 7.3 IDI in it, has goobs of power now!

I knew there was some other commonality other than Super Mag pistols...My stable... 30 years worth of Kaw Litre size bikes.Nice stable indeed ... love me some Concours !
I was the Technical Editor for the Concours Owners Group for a few years, and actually sold that '86 (the one with the red panels) with 138,000 miles on it a few years ago,it ran better than most of any I've seen and heard, even ones 20 years newer..but still have all the rest in my garage; if your interested in Concours, P/M me, I'll send ya links to the organization, it's a pretty dedicated group, and we hold great national rallies, formal motto is "Sport Touring at it's finest", but informal motto is "Join for the bike, stay for the people"

You still have that truck today?
Here is a bike I built back in 1999. This was a '97 FZR1000 that had been wadded hard in the front. It started life as a regular FZR1000 sportbike, but I was given a blank slate by my boss to 'go to town', after the insurance company settled. And no, it wasn't pink, but totally red!
So with my blank slate invite, I mounted some black K&N drag bars on it for what was later termed as a "naked sportbike" feel. It was a new termnology I had heard about in magazines of the day. Plus I slapped some bar-end mirrors. Then I ordered front & rear PM black powdercoated aluminum wheels, with full floater FZR700 front race bike rotors & 6-pot PM calipers to match...and stainless braided lines. Then I lopped off all stock fairing tabs from the frame (and satin-polished the remains, then mounted a custom euro 9" halogen headlight, with (I forget who's turn signals).
I forget who made the mini-windshield (MC cycles?), but the fork mounts were a one year only deal & I totally lucked into one of the last to be had that year. 🙂 It looked like it was born that way!
This bike was the closest I've ever ridden to my own Aquamax, performance wise. I bumped the rear gearing up by 3, if I recall, but the front binders were where this bike really shined! Way too fun, and yet I foolishly let this one go. I can't believe I didn't nut up & buy it. These three pics were taken maybe 2 days before it sold & was gone. I saw it two years later in a parking lot...the poor thing was hammered & definitely NOT loved.I should have never let it go.

Well OK, my first ride. Please excuse the quality of the picture, cellphone pic of a framed picture on the wall of my hobby room
Note the snappy looking "bib overall/shorts" look. Probably 1954?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I remember that truck. It was NOT in that condition when it achieved "hand me down" status! Pretty sure by that stage someone, IE the original owner, had given it a real snazzy hand brushed rust-o-ileum red paint job and the dump box no longer worked. Just saying......
To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:
if you find one...what's your plan?

the toys we had as kids... man,
I had a Fire Engine version of that same pedal car when I was a lil' nurd kid circa 1960...
it had a chrome bell on the hood, some side racks on the dumper and a pair of flimsy wooden ladders mounted to them...
I broke the ladders within the first day I got it.

I thought the '79 Ltd Kaws had gold and blue pin stripes on the tank, and didn't have the squared off top valve cover ends...am I mistaken? The tank decals are throwing me wayy off, I been a kaw fiend for decades, and am not seeing these.. mid 80's had multi color swoosh, 80's went to the square valve cover ends.. I'm cornfused... 81 had square gas cap...
what tank was on your bike?
I just did a search online, to do a comparo of 77. 78, and 79 bikes, and others, and I'm totally at a loss on what people are putting up there claiming to be '78 models, along with others... I'm not disputing yours was a '79, but asking where and when it came from, and what it really was.. they went to squared ends on the valve covers in '80 iirc. or maybe late model 79's had a different cover?
I bet you wish you held onto those 4 into 2 exhausts it came with.. they are getting over $1000 for them now... I ditched mine for $200 to buy a Racer 1, followed by a Kerker, followed by a Yoshimura from Pappy when i built up for drag racing..., and it now wears a Jardine..
look at the ends of the valve covers on my '78, they are round
ooooops... after seaching, I found one... sorry for any misconceptions...relive the moment..
anyway, can't wait till the salt is off the road, and I can burn up another tire on my 1400...

Cool stuff ... you found a video of my bike, which looks to be totally stock, right down to the tires and even sounds like it. As you can see, it came with 2-into-1 headers on each side.

Okay. Here are mine, although I am a bit schitzophenic.
My '99 Shadow ACE made into a more vintage-looking bike.
My '98 Shadow AERO.
My 32 Chevy and my '27 Ford roadster pickup.
My 85 Corvette. I recently re-wired it and did a bunch of work to it. The result, was a solid 500 hp at the crank. (434rwhp) on the dyno.
And, I'm kinda into Cubs.
My son and I pull this one!
And of course, there's the planes, the trains and obviously, DWs!
