I quit riding when the Mrs. and the kids came along. Then, a few years ago, I brought home a HD Sportster. Does fine around town, but beats the crap out of me on the interstate. Needs about 100lbs more lead in it's britches to deal with the wind from 18 wheelers. Should've stuck with the Dynas as planned. Still wonderful to feel the wind in my face.
In reality, I haven't ridden nearly as much this summer. I've either been at work, working at home, or in the boat on the water. Die hard fisherman April-Oct as the weather allows. Oh, and fileted up walleyes and blues last night. Love to chase those 20-50lb blues.

Great lookin bikes fellas! I love motorcycles in general foreign and domestic. I ride in the Fire & Iron MC its a national club of firefighters that ride for charities especially childrens charities its an amazing thing to be a part of and we have a blast doing it. theres no discrimination of bikes in the club its very diverse. personally I think the yamaha v-max is a bad mother f'er.
this first pic is a bike I sold last april it was a yamaha royal star 1300 it actually had a vmax engine in it without the vmax components so it was powerful but the potential of that engine is amazing. i loved this bike but didnt need two cruisers.
this is my 2007 Harley D street glide! its a crappy pic but this bike rides like a dream.
and save the best for last my 78' 1200 shovelhead fxs lowrider the ol lady wont come near it. she tells me it makes me stink when I ride it lol and I LOVE it nuthin sounds like a shovel with drags. Itll break your leg to start it it rattles your teeth to ride it and it marks its territory in oil where it sits but dammit I LOVE THIS BIKE lol

Milky, I don't know how you guys can ride a bike with ape hangars on it, that would drive me nuts!
That's a nice looking Royal Star. I know those bikes pretty darn intimately, myself...I work at a Yamaha dealership & have bolted shiny & go-fast stuff onto maybe three dozen of those over the years. I've also done various levels of custom jobs on them...the best one even went into our local Autorama & won 2nd place in it's class in 1999. I'll have to scan a pic, if I can find one.

cf- def would like to see some pics of the royal I love the idea of a cruiser with that much power potential its too bad yamaha dropped the ball on the performance of it stock.
Imiss it I think I got more compliments and head turns on the royal than I do on the street glide lol.
as for apes I said the same thing and worse! but like anyone who rides with apes will tell ya, they just kinda grow on ya and now I really like em

I have been riding since I was about 10 years old. I've owned many bikes over the years. Between my wife and me, we currently have three bikes. The first is a 1972 Triumph Bonneville, part restoration and part cafe racer conversion project. It is almost finished. The other two are our regular riders. One is a 2001 BMW R1100S and the other is a 2008 R1200GS Adventure. That is my wife in the bright yellow Aerostich suit. The three bottom pictures were taken during a two week, 4000+ mile ride back on '08. All three shots were taken in Colorado.

Hi guys. Since Im new here and motorcycles are pretty much my career, I figured Id chime in on this thread.
Ive been a M/C technician for about 17 years now, with the last 12 of those working for dealerships. Im a MMI graduate, as well as Honda Silver, Suzuki Silver, and Yamaha Bronze Certified.
My bitsa GSXR that I built from a bare frame. I used to race, but these days Im strictly a trackday hero.
My toy, the 'fiddy' which is so modified it has about 3 stock, unmodified parts left. Shown here in supermoto guise, I swap out tires and gearing for offroad stuff as well.
If anybody has any questions or is having any trouble with their bike, scooter, ATV, or sidexside, feel free to hit me up with a PM.

Great bikes, guys !!! I guess I wouldn't expect anything less from a bunch of Dan Wesson owners.
New member here, fellow rider also…I started out on an orange Honda CT-70 just like the one pictured early in this thread.
My 2000 Harley Dyna Superglide Twin Cam 88 below, also Honda XR-650L not pictured.

Good morning
When we are up there in the U.S.of A. my daily rider is a 1971 R75/5 Bmw. Has about 42 ,000 as of last ride to storage in November.
Down here I have a 1992 Yamaha DT 175 (2 cycle) as my daily rider about our 2 Million plus city. Going up to villages (we live at 8000) I ride a Kawasaki KDX 200.
My favorite all time 2 wheeler was a 1971 Norton Commando 750, that was one fast hummer !

Missionary, I imagine both the DT & KDX would get you around quite nicely where you're located.
G-n-G, I somehow missed your post earlier, that's a great looking Harley. That paint color looks similar to the original color of my Aquamax, sort of a blue-purple. It will be going back to that color here shortly, sort of an add-on to some open heart bike surgery I'm currently doing.

OK... somebody has to post some pics of an "old man bike"...might as well be me...(^.~)...I started riding again about 4 years ago after not riding since the 70's...found an old '78 KZ1000 for $500.00...fun but a bit rough on an old man for the long rides...got an '88 Yamaha Venture Royale with about 100K miles...still a nice ride 'til that car made a left turn in front of me...so I found this '05 Goldwing...bought it in '08 with 9K miles on it...now has over 50K... have made a couple of great trips...fall of 2009, The Smoky Mountains... fall of 2010, the Grand Canyon...fall of 2011, ?????...Now if I could just melt this foot & 1/2 of snow!...

Sounds like a bar hopper to me. BTW, I don't play in the snow either...not fond of freezing. I hibernate instead.
Oldguy, I bet that Goldwing is a whole lot more comfortable than the old Venture. I've ridden a few of both & just can't quite get used to the big windshield in front of me. Too accustomed to wind blast, I guess.
BTW, I see what looks like a Corbin seat & some Kuryakyn hiway pegs on there. Nice upgrades.
