Why do I get the same feeling I did when the crowd was shouting, "Do it! Do it!" and I was standing next to a frozen flag pole.

Had to do it, but, didn't we start about motorcycles?

That's much better. Looks like a GL1200?
Yep! She had 15,000 miles on her when I bought her. I use to ride the Shadows 1100cc, Yamaha and a Ducati. I'm looking for a 1500-1700 cc engine on the touring design. Goldwings are hard to beat. I do love the sound of a Harley though.

Yes I am dredging up an OLD thread...sorry.
We here on the west side of the Rockies have had such a mild, beautiful winter this year! I have wished for this winter season my WHOLE adult life!! I love it. My condolences to you easterners...
This weekend it's gonna be in the mid-60's and I'm gonna break out the Aquamax (old-pics from 9/13) from it's winter slumber...for a nice February 2015 triple-digit ride! First of the season!
And yes, the Aquamax is spoiled. This is his winter digs...a blurry pic from last November. Put away for the winter in his bedroom.

Nice bike!
I've got my Valkyrie (Little Martha) on the jack in the shop getting ready for the riding season. New front rubber, E bay used/new rear rotor, rear pads and hub dampners, general maintenance. She's starting off the year with 105,000 miles on the clock.
I've been going back and forth between slow rust bluing a couple of shotguns and getting the scooter ready to rock.

Excuse a stupid from a non motorcycle guy, but what is an AquaMax?
Looks gorgeous!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

04' Silverado RoadStar. Ya thats my big ice the day I picked her up. My first ever new bike and I had been riding since I was a pup.My first big bike was a 69' Electra-Glide, that was an old Louisville Police bike. They had an auction after they disbanded the motorcycle core. My father bought his and his partners for $100 each. Thats right no typo.. I got one and painted her up, road her for a few years then used her for a down payment on 96 acres...good deal...
That little guy on that is is #5 of 7... He loves to ride and he is going on 19 now. I was the Cub Master then after falling back for this one after my 2 oldest sons had Eagled Out. This was the Patriot Ride 04' to support the Scouts.
A one day Bible School, my self and some other men played the twelve sons of Jacob and we were the teachers... No I was not Joseph in the coat of many colors. My father is in the Kosairs Shriner's Band, so I borrowed it from him.. lol was a fun day and the looks I got going down the road. Well lets say I hurried and got back home, this was at a time when nerves were still a little raw..
Now days my braking foot is screwed up so haven't riddin in over 2 years. been trying to hammer out a way to make that work, but I will ride again..

Sorry, I should have explained. That would be a Vmax which spent the night underwater once...it's sort of a "one of one" thing. Hence the nickname. Annnd that was compliments of it's previous owner, in 1996. The guy blew a turn & splashed into a lake, a tow truck pulled it out the next day. These days I prefer to keep it on dry land.

Love the "Jacob" outfit! Great looking RoadStar, too. Do you have a stock exhaust on it, or are you a "loud pipes save lives" kind of guy like me?
This (was) my younger son's bike until last year, an '08 1900cc Raider. We drag raced this a couple times against the Aquamax, he thought he had the advantage, with a larger engine. Wrong! The Aquamax left him in the dust. Hehe

Steve, I told every body I was coming to church on a camel that day....just didn't say gas camel... sure was fun time.
Charger, I liked the look of the stocks, so I dremeled the cover from end of pipe and pulled the baffle tube.. Still not quite throaty enough, so I bought a 3/8 drill, 18" long and punched 5 more holes in the front baffle plate... now nice and toney, but not hardly a shot gun.

I like the look of your boy's old scoot too. Kinda looks like the Strat raked out to about 40.

Started in the mid-70s with a Honda XL100... got to ride my Dad's KZ900 in the late 70s and early 80s and had some others in between. Went several years without any and when my son was 11 or 12, I bought a KLX110 for him and the rural property we live on. A week later - I bought a KDX220 for me :-). Now out in the barn we still have the KLX, KDX and his TTR230 he got when he was in high school. Oh, I also got a VN900 Vulcan to ride on the road and a we have a Polaris Sportsman 4-wheeler for chores around the place. Yeah I (we) ride.

That's pretty much it, only minus a couple hundred pounds & more laid-back...armed with larger injectors & a "meaner" MAP to the main brain. The initial seat of the pants feel honestly had me wondering if I may have come upon a serious rival, well, because the Raider is a strong bike! However, that summer day, I whispered in the ear of the Aquamax, that he could DO IT!! The Aquamax never doubted me, and spanked him handily, reaping retribution as easily as any challengers before him. Mwwaaahhhaa!!
Anyway, here's another BUMP to the thread!
