I am a "serial" grill buyer ! About 5 grills ago, I gave up spending hundreds of dollars on a grill, nothing ever measured up to my beloved, long departed Weber grill (and have you priced a Weber grill in the past few years?).
Once I get to about the 3 year point on a grill, I start watching Home Depot/Lowes/Sears... for a new grill. I usually end up purchasing one in July or August, when they all want to close out on grills and start stocking snow blowers.
My needs are simple, 4 burners and that's about it, I have NEVER used the side burner that comes on most grills. The last few have been off brand foreign imports, and I never go above $150. The latest winner is:
"DynaGlo" five burner with a side Searing Station, which I might actually use. Home Depot, fully assembled, last one, display model. Chinese import top to bottom that might be the hottest burning grill I've ever had. With the cover down, we were up to 700 degrees in less than 10 minutes. And the tank can go inside the cabinet, I prefer to store utensils, grilling baskets, etc in there.
$137 all in (and the doors on the lower cabinet are a little off kilter because the grilling pad is no longer exactly level).
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm a Weber guy myself. Bought the current Spirit about 7 yrs ago and, noticed the other day, I have a spot on the side I need to hit with some high temp paint.
I don't think you can go wrong, assembled and OTD for $137. If you get 3 or 4 seasons out of it, it was well worth the money.
One a separate note: what's a snow blower? Home Depot in Lake Charles says they don't carry those...
Carry on.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I forgot to add that my other purchase requirement is that it must have "stainless steel" on it.
I continue to be amused by bright, shiny objects

Yeah, I have priced a Weber lately. We're buying a new one for our new house and leaving the old one here. It's 15 years old. My wife works for Weber and even at the employee price... whew!!!
Yes Steve; gotta have stainless steel.
I'll have to skip a couple of DW auctions to pay for it.

You are missing out on the side burner. Blacken fish, meatballs, pan searing roast before oven baking, and lts more without stinking up the house!
Keep us informed. I got a cheap-o grill ($139) and the third burner disintegrated
after ninety days.
Enjoy!
If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

The concept of cooking something on the side burner always escaped me, this one has a ceramic infra red "Sear Station", which I have already used once with some chicken breasts, which then finished cooking on the grill

I like your method of grill purchasing. I too have gotten tired of wasting the price of a Dan on a piece of junk grill. Better to spend the cost of a zebra grip on a piece of junk. One day I will finally make that brick grill that will last for ever like my Grandfather's house had.

I guess I fit into the category. My DuKane of many years died and I replaced it with a Grill Dome Komodo. I've also got a tiny gas Weber in my townhouse. The NC house in addition to the Grill Dome has a Kalamazoo Gourmet hybrid propane/wood/charcoal grill built into the outdoor kitchen. In addition I have a Carolina Cooker tow behind pig cooking hybrid.
