My wife hates this!
Hard cooked eggs in a gallon jar marinating in balsamic vinegar, garlic, hot peppers, Bud Light, roasted red pepper strips, did I mention garlic?, ancho chipotle, ground black pepper, and some other stuff I can't even remember! Just add the spices you like.
In the refrigerator to keep it food safe, a great late night snack.
Every couple weeks (as long as it's refrigerated), you need to dump the marinade, but then you get to start over again creating a whole new batch, and no two are the same!
My next batch will feature a craft brewed beer to replace the Bud Light.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

your right. My wife hates it too. I use the jar from the big Kosher Dills. Then add my own spices and peppers and uh Coors Steve...Coors. Well she really doesn't hate that I make them as much as the effect they have on my body..lol

I'm thinking you should try that with a real hoppy IPA like this one:
I love this stuff. Of course I've been told that it's only appropriate given it's name.......

I like ales, but doubt I'll ever find this around my area. Any other ale you can compare it to?
Well Ed, an IPA (India Pale Ale) is not you run of the mill ale. Typically they are packed with hops which a very distinct flavor and bite. I'm not sure what part of the country you are in but the Sam Adams Rebel IPA is a good starting point. Fairly hoppy, but not like AB! lol
It's funny, I've been drinking IPAs for year, before most people even heard of them. Now they are one of the "hot" craft beers.

I'm in central Georgia, not noted as a cultural hotbed. Tried some of the usual English ales, Old Peculiar, Speckled Hen, Newcastle and the like. A few from Scotland and Belgium. As a run of the mill redneck I usually prefer quantity over quality but sometimes broaden my horizons. Thanks, I'll ask about AB next time I'm at the liquor store. Maybe they can order me a few.

I think the name of this ale sort of fits you (and you are my ACTUAL brother) but I'm pretty sure you are not a Bastard.

WARNING!
WARNING!
Never, ever wash down pickled eggs with draught Guinness.
Trust me I was married once!
Seriously I like them with the traditional Brit Malt Vinegar, brown sugar & "pickling spices" packet brew.

Just did the first "reload' of eggs on the original brine, the fist pass was excellent. A pickled egg or two as an evening snack was great fun.
Starting mostly fresh with the next batch, but I'll probably recycle some of the peppers from the first batch, and go a little less balsamic, maybe a little more oil, garlic, onions, and I'm thinking some Ancho Chipotle?

Will wonders never cease…..I found Arrogant Bastard Oaked Ale at a local liquor store. Good stuff, hoppy as you said with a rather strong taste. As with Guinness, a couple is enough for me, and I go back to the weak sauce. Thanks to Georgia's taxes it's three bucks a bottle here. Yeah, I'm a Cheap B@st@rd……….
