ATT install in less than two hours for phone, internets. No more TV since we never watch major networks.
Ruku is fine for us. I was in their facility just over three minutes. Never asked a thing. Others there doing the same thing.
Contract ends in ten days, phoned them yesterday and thy had the balls to say " I have to check to see if there's a early termination fee".
Are you scatting me? Sent a note to the FCC.
Ahhh, life's better now.

I am so far removed from "tech savvy" it's frightening, BUT we are slowly moving toward cutting the cable crap.
We already have Amazon Prime and a Fire Stick, HuLu looks pretty good too. In a genuine emergency the DVD library includes the all of M*A*S*H, Band of Brothers, Sopranos, and a couple dozen classic comedy movies.
Major Metropolitan Market, lots of local HD broadcast coverage.
The only thing a "telephone number" is good for these days is for calls from the Third World to fix problems with my computer, we have survived a couple dozen of those crises lately.
And we don't need new siding, bathroom renovation, Solar Energy, or to give money to people/groups/organizations we never heard of.
Cable TV is the dinosaur that does not yet acknowledge that it is extinct.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I can't tell you how many times I log onto our county library site and look through the DVDs on file. We have watched dozens of great movies....not to mention music CDs.
You said "Library"!!! I go to the local municipal library at least every other week. I am always returning a couple of books and taking home a couple of books, and every week I drop two bucks into the "Friends of the ...Library" donation box, which I know goes to buying more books.
And there are loads of DVD's there too, thanks for the reminder.
BTW, forgot to mention that the Sony big screen TV runs on a a really nice Sony surround sound six speaker system with a six CD/DVD changer. This setup is at least 10 years old and still "rocks the house" as needed
