Well yesterday I did something I haven't done in over 30 years, I shot trap and wobble trap. What a blast! A friend talked me into going with him to his club and doing some shooting. I took my new Benelli 12Ga since I've not fired it yet. Well I thought it would just be two of us shooting, WRONG. He didn't tell me we would be shooting a full five man squad. So here I am, not shot trap in decades, not shot the gun I had with me EVER, and the wind is howling. I told the guys up front not to expect a great showing by me and I felt a bit of pressure to perform the first round, had quite a few misses, but the subsequent round I managed 17 out of 25. I have never shot wobble trap before and everybody said it would be much harder, I found it easier and I liked it a lot more. Manged 20-25 in the final round. All in all a great way to waste a cold windy morning. I think I may be hooked. May have to look for a good used shot shell press
The Benelli is a great gun, but boy does my shoulder know I fired 100 rounds of 12ga yesterday.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I managed to get out ad shoot some trap on the weekend as well, which I love to do but maybe get out only two or three times per year. Managed a 23 on one round - I was happy with that score. It is just plain fun. I shoot an old Breda 12 gauge and love the sound of the sliding barrel.
