is much more to me than just a website, it's a family of friends and we do lots of stuff that isn't guns .. one of the other important things in my life is music. What do you like and are listening to? This thread is not meant to be about listing all your favorites, the top ten, or anything other than; "What song are you listening to right now" !
I'll start it off with one of the bands that heavily influenced my young mind; "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath from the album Black Sabbath.

I dig Sabbath and think my favorite might be Symptom of the Universe from the Sabotage Album- Love the way it breaks down into acoustic music, "Woman Child of Love's Creation come and step into my dreams!" . When I am reloading or cleaning guns are working on guns or really anything in my garage I am listening to music on a nice older 1980's Sony rack stereo with lots of amplification and 4 big old speakers. Super High Fidelity! Anything over #5 on the volume knob and my neighbors set up lawn chairs in my drive way and we have a party.
Right now I am listening to Live Grateful Dead from July 1 1978-- Arrow Head Stadium. SWEET SOUND BOARDS!
Sometimes its Zappa, Sometimes the Allman Bros., John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, Johnny Cash, Flatt and Scruggs. You name it, if its good, I'll play it.

humane, while his education has been sadly neglected.”

“When some of my friends have asked me anxiously about their boys, whether
they should let them hunt, I have answered, yes – remembering that it was
one of the best parts of my education – *make* them hunters.”

I'm more of a Mark Knopfler fan myself. The front man from Dire Straits for you younger members. I like all the Dire Straits music and also Mark's solo work since. I think I have all but one of his albums. Here is one of my favorites from about 15 years ago. It's more of an obscure tune that never got air play but is a great song that showcases his talents on the guitar and his ability to tell a story with a song.
My musical tastes are widely varying. I also like ZZ Top, Skynard, Molly Hatchet, .38 Special, Jefferson Starship even Oingo Boingo, and Roy Orbison. So I can't really pin myself down to just one genre, but my all time favorite is Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits.
Another oldie

Well someone just hit MY Sweet Spot, stand by for some pretty random thoughts:
Can't rank any one of these as #1, but-Eagles, WHO, Beach Boys are the top three
Maybe one of the greatest albums ever- American Pie
Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
A recent favorite on Sirius/XM- the Blues Channel
A USB thumb drive plugged into my car radio interface, several hours of Commander Cody (thanks Bruce, your Sister in Law still hates you)
One of the greatest modern American songwriters- Jackson Browne
Chicago was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a little known album of theirs (Night and Day) covers some great Big Band songs
And a whole bunch of other stuff downloaded onto my phone from Amazon- Motown, Country...
Pretty much anytime I hear a song I like, I Shazaam it, and then normally buy it
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Forgot Clapton and ELO too.
For those of you who still have a lot of vinyl sitting around, get one of the new USB turntables that plugs into your computer. It comes with software to eliminate scratches etc and allows you to record your vinyl album collection to a digital format. I was very surprised at how much dynamic range the vinyl has compared to a CD. I put many old records on a usb thumb drive and, like Steve, play them in my truck. You can also play records directly from the turntable and listen to them like an an old school turntable. I think it was about $100 a couple years ago at BJ's wholesale club.

Metal & Classical music.
Oh yeah .. Metallica S&M got my attention, then Christina Scabbia and Italian band Lacuna Coil cemented my love for the combination of these two styles. I looked further and found the Scandinavian countries are big into the scene, such as Nightwish.
