Will listen to anything I haven't heard hundreds of times in the past five decades. Currently keep my dial tuned to the local college, not so much due to the genre; but because it's usually new and refreshing....

There is a Country Music? thread started by Steve in April 2015, but that's not what this thread is about. It's not meant to be about listing all your favorites, the top ten, or anything other than;
"What song are you listening to right now" !

Check out Kenny Rodgers introducing them 1972.

Of course, they had a few big hits, but two members committed suicide because of the greed of their manager, Stan Polley.
Here is a great song by Kenny Rodgers before he went "country" with the 'First Edition' classic hit "Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In".

As soon as I heard "Take It Easy" in the Summer of 1972, I rode my Schwinn 10-speed bike into town, to Eckerd's Drug store and bought their debut album on 8-Track tape, with my hard-earned lawn mowing money ... I then proceeded to get every single (studio) album as they were released.

Jimi was the FEEDBACK king, NOBODY can say black folks can't rock !!!
Funkadelic Maggot Brain is a Cleve. staple. As long as I can remember, used to be

Thanks, I think the Eagles are probably my All Time Favorite. Way, Way back in the day, my CB handle was the "Desperado", KAEB7786. FYI, these days I can't remember what I had for lunch, but I still know my FCC CB License ID?
I regularly (daily?) bore the kids I work with by making them listen to the Eagles every day at woek. They gotta learn the Classics
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I did enjoy the refreshing Cali-country sound on their fist few albums, but "The Bomber" gave them that little something extra, some edge to their harmonies and guitar work. 'Hotel California' was the start of something entirely new.
HERE'S a little tidbit on Joe, Grew up in Columbus and went to Kent St. U. Also did a
lot of playing around Cleve. area, all pretty close to me. DID give the Eagles a KICK !!
This is a later tune I like a lot, Life of Illusion.

I saw the Eagles live a number of years ago in concert at one of the local Native American casino venues. It was an incredible show, and when Hotel California kicked off with a great video screen/light show intro, the crowd went crazy. This was actually the Long Road Out Of Eden tour, Joe had some of his personal stuff in the show as well, and he is absolutely Bat Shit crazy!

My first year of college, promoters started the Rock Super Bowl series of shows at Orlando's Tangerine Bowl stadium.
ROCK SUPER BOWL I was on May 29, 1977 and featured Fleetwood Mac, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Kenny Loggins, Chick Corea - Stanley Clarke & Return to Forever.
ROCK SUPER BOWL II was July 3, 1977 featuring The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band, Hall & Oates and Andrew Gold.
I still have the ticket stubs too !
