I was cruising through the On Demand offerings on my cable offerings, and watched the first episode of Magnum PI, which was actually a two part episode.

What "old stuff" are you seeing?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I bought all 8 (IIRC) seasons a couple years ago, and Rockford Files shortly after. Both are great series! cool

I found it interesting how different the beginning of the pilot episode was than the rest of the show, along with other aspects of the show.

*EDIT* Of the pilot of Magnum. Rockford's pilot started off equally odd, from what I recall.

Right now I'm watching Hogan's Heroes rofllaughing

Usually catch Andy at 8:00 also big-grin

I remember watching the Rockford Files w/my Dad as a youngster. And Barney Miller after 🎳 bowling.

Wish ME TV would bring Combat and 12 O Clock High back mad Had wife hooked on both, were on at dinner time. I'd say to her "time for dinner and the war"!!

I watched most of the first season of "Rescue 911" at my GF's house last fall. She fell asleep on my lap during much of it, I'm guessing she's not as into it as I?screwy hehelol2

For me, the best part about these shows is the TOTAL lack of any of anything remotely near the cell phone BS and nomenclature we deal with today. It was simple & easy. You wanna make a phone call away from home? Get thyself to a steenkin' phone booth!laugh Pagers? Sure, there were pagers, but you still had to reply from the steenkin' phone booth...with a quarter no less...kinda like real actual money!big-grin

We have a couple channels that play old movies. Grandson and I got hooked on Randolph Scott westerns lately. Don't watch enough TV to keep up with any series except Andy Griffith.

Well, viewed the first episode and found it a bit dark and funny, and heavy. Good stuff, will view more soon.

Any comments by viewers here?

Went through the first series that week, just got the 2nd from library. Go on you tube and preview…good stuff. John Voight is very good and there are some other I won't mention, just see it. Ray Donavon is kind of an enforcer. The show is petered with humor, too. Season 4 is being aired and the main actor, Leiv Schreiber is up for an Emmy.

I've always liked Leiv Schreiber as an actor, so yes, I will have to check out this series.

Are any of you guys into Blue Bloods? That is really a great series, I think they are into season 6 now? I forget. I'm a huge Tom Selleck fan, so it was easy to convince me to watch.laugh
