We usually only buy for the young kids. Just too many people anymore! so,...

after the dust settled I gifted myself some Hodgdon HP38 powder, box of Winchester primers and 500 158 gr 38/357 LSWC's.

Actually, nothing shooting related. My wife and I seem to have the stuff we need or want, except for ridiculously expensive luxuries. Christmas has become mostly about our kids and grand kids, and special Holiday time with friends, and their kids and grand kids

Several weeks ago we got very special gift from my brother. Assembly, set up, and especially learning to use it.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well I hit the jackpot IMO. The wife got me a CZ Ringneck S/S 20Ga. Now I just got to learn to hit something with it.

Steve got a 3D printer? Wow, that will be a fun (and interesting) toy, I'm sure!

I didn't get any gun stuff this year...not that I didn't put one on my wish list.lol2 I did get some cool LED shop lights for my garage & some other stuff (clothes, books, movies, a couple tools). I ended up spending more money on my kids than I intended to, but what the heck.smile We had a fun, enjoyable time this year & that's what really counts!

Well it is a kit, I still need to build it, HERE is a picture of one of the sub kits, all the screws, bolts, nuts, etc.

Fortunately, work is a little slower over the next couple of months. Once it's built and I figure out how to use it, then I need to get an .stl file made of a Dan Wesson Target grip big-grin

No shooting gear, well I did get myself the Henry Big Boy but that doesn't count. Steve and his wife sent me a primo gift card to the the ][V][ Den. After all, a guy can never have enough Michigan Wolverine gear to flaunt in the Lone Start State. big-grin

Yes it is a kit. VELLEMAN K8400 VERTEX 3D Printer Kit

It's designed and manufactured by my company. While this may look like a really cool and generous gift, trust me, it's not. It's really a fiendish, devious and subtle payback for all of that big brother BS I had to put up with all those decades ago.

Oh mee God...lol2 I'm glad I'm far away from the blast zone between you two.wow

On the other hand...a printed grip...I can't even wrap my wee brain around that. I have yet to see one of those 3D things in action, save for a couple Youtube videos, and who believes those things?

I like to call this little video   BRUCE'S REVENGE

or

The shorter BRUCE'S REVENGE (Benny Hill Ver.)

AKA a couple of time lapse YOU TUBE videos of Steve's "Little Project". The printer ships with the single extruder. He got the optional second extruder so he can print in 2 colors. big-grin

This video is a promo video showing it printing in 2 colors. VERTEX BRACELET

The demo shows some of the software (called "slicer" or "slicing") imaging the build. It's interesting to note that the printer prints the bracelet complete. In other words, when you release it from the print bed, it has been printed complete. It's not assembled. It comes off the printer completely articulated. All of the hinge joints and the clasp, are printed in place. It should give you a feel for the capabilities of the technology.

Boss Dog, that photo is perfect...free, yet one you can't put a price upon. I already know I won't have a photo like that in my lifetime. Congratulations sir, that photo is proof positive that you've made correct choices in your life.occasion

I think I have seen a watch like that before on eBay, a fair while ago. I think it was by a guy who seemed to be having small batches of logo'ed accessories (watches, wallets, key fobs, etc) that could be produced without a lot of investment in manufacturing. I know I saw the same guy selling similar stuff for shooting, classic cars, boating and fishing, and the like. Kind of looked like he was avoiding the big names, and selling out limited supplies pretty quickly so he didn't become an easy target for copyright infringements.

A very nice looking and uncommon item, I'd certainly like to have one.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I have seen the cheap DW logo knockoff watches on EBay, but the one that Hugelk has looks nicer than them. That is a cool watch.

One of my Christmas presents showed up the other day - a new CZ 452 Ultra Lux.  It is a beauty - and no, I don't have pics yet.  My other is yet to be completed and shipped, but it is a "have wanted" rifle for a long time, as well.  To be continued...

Okay - as soon I mentioned the CZ, I wanted to go and pick it up again.  Was trying some snap caps and testing the trigger - which has an amazing crisp break at 3.25lbs and one of the snap caps rim broke off.  Out came the cleaning rods (and I needed all of them together to clear the 28" barrel) and I was surprised how dirty a new rifle can be.  Anyways, grabbed the camera while I was there and here are a few quick ones.

Showed it off in another topic but Leshia got me my very own (Doppler) labradar.  Still haven't put it through the paces yet but hopefully soon!
