Don't really have any plans. Daughter is working the weekend so... I know I'll be babysitting.

I might get about half crazy and take them plinking with a couple .22 rifles.

Made it to [a little late] the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, last eve. Went and checked

out Kenn's new PM 7 first and had to wait on wife to get home, so pics are so so.

But anyhow, Father and 1 Uncle & Aunt rest there. and it's a beautiful Military Cemetery !!

Gave me goose bumps and tears, but this is what Memorial Day means to me. Honoring all

who served, past and present, esp. my Pop, the greatest hero to me !! Wife and I rode out

on MC, AWESOME night and it's not too far away, in Medina Co.

Hope you all enjoy pics. and your holiday occasion

BTW it's hard to see, Pop's marker; USN, WORLD WAR II, AMM3, Date 1924-2003, DFC, AM, REST WITH JESUS

For us it is a homecoming our son in law home from an African deployment.  Then to watch my dad lay the wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier at a small cemetery in western Kansas. Dad a WW2 combat wounded vet brings us together for this event!  We will visit those that have passed to the greater life, then reflect on our journey.

Be safe all and take time to reflect!

Great pics Pete, thanks for sharing!

Most of my day today consisted of yard upkeep, but in the early evening, we stopped by a cemetery near Hill AFB...the place was absolutely alive with celebration for those who have served, both in passing & living! It was really cool to have witnessed & to have been a part of, albeit in a small way.

Tomorrow we are (weather permitting) going on a Memorial day bike ride.  Nothing like a couple thousand bikes to make a scene!laugh

Thank you to all who have served, and to all who are still serving!proud-to-be-an-american

Mom, Wife & I went to Sister's yesterday, and my "snow bird' Brother was

in from Miami for the summer !! He drove his new 1972 Porsche, [He got lots o old cars]

When I get out to see him I show some, Packards mostly & signs, gas pumps etc. Cool stuff.

But had a good time and day, about 80 w/a breeze occasion

Emailed b. inlaw and he lightened the pics from the cemetery and printed for me. Here's a few

and a LINK to the OWRMC, cool info. like, 273 acres and how Western Reserve area in Ohio was

once part of N.W.Territory, Conn.'s Western Reserve, ceded in 1786 to U.S. Gov. all claims to land. proud-to-be-an-american
