Hello DWF, I recently acquired a 15 inch vent heavy barrel assemble for my 15-2. What are you guys using for a case for these?

I looked around cabelas and a few other shops. Best thing I could find so far is a youth sized rifle bag but would much prefer a hard case with foam. Any ideas or suggestions?

There should be lots of compatible cases at Midway, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain, Cabela's, etc. but some like to get the Dan Wesson Pistol Pack cases that come up regularly on FeeBay (nice ones with keys sell for $200+).

The 15" ones are tough, other than a rifle case.  I have not seen any "handgun" sized cases that will handle anything beyond a Dan with a 10" barrel myself.  You could possible consider what some members here have done in the past and obtain an American Tourister travel case and outfit it with foam and fabric to suit your needs.  Charger Fan IIRC has a nice one.

This is a pretty cool site if you like Leather, Poss a rifle scabbard would work, they had one for an 18".

Uh,  it IS removable. I keep my longer BA's in between the two pieces of foam on the bottom of a Dan case. Or next to it.

I understand it is removable, but I would prefer just a very large case to avoid having to add and remove barrel everytime.

Rifle case would be the best option, or look for a case that held some type of long tool. Not sure what would be the best option to leave it assembled!    Custom build might be best!    Let us know what you come up with!

I'll add my 2cents with a cheapo option, I myself love aluminum cases so here's a poker case with keys and It's 22" accross. I have a very similar case with some old crosman pellet revolvers in it. 500 chip capacity is the ballpark

The 15-2 frame is about 6" long without a B/A, I assume the length of the shroud is 14.5"?

Should be easy to rip out the poker setup, install some foar and maybe even carve the gun's outline.

Same company makes this rifle case too

There's plenty of things in that category too, hope any of this helps.

Why, thank you.laugh

Unfortunately, all the American Tourister cases I've come across will only handle up to a 10" barrel mounted on the gun. It might fit if you rotated the gun a bit in the case, but that's iffy.

Here's my 44 with a 10" BA in an American Tourister case, for example.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
