Well, tonight I scrolled through the entire thread and looked over all the photo's so far...
I made notes of other members photo's that "popped" and were truly calender worthy. I ended up picking (5) 1911's and (6) revolver pics.
It was hard to choose--angles, lighting, accessories, layout, etc....
So far this has been the best calender year in my opinion....lots of photos by many members.
If I remember correctly, our first year resulted in only 16 members voting. I can't wait till this years vote...

OK, I finally got some pictures, I'm just gonna make the deadline!
A Monson 14-2 (obviously refinished, but not by me) wearing LB grips. This is my Homeland Security picture, posed with it's nightstand companions: three HKS speed loaders, SureFire flashlight, and S&W Extreme Ops Auto knife.
Next:
These are the Finer Things in Life. Good bourbon, good cigars, and my favorite revolver, Monson 15-2 Nickel with the 4VH BA, IMHO the perfect revolver configuration. The Nickel refinish was completed two years ago, and this gun has appeared in both previous calendars.
The photo session ended pretty quickly after this picture was taken, the ice was melting and I was forced to perform heroic lifesaving measures on the JB Black.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve I really like these shots. I do have a suggestion for the 2nd one. Reddo it with no damn water in that bourbon and one of those stogies fired up in clear glass ashtray with a nice curl of smoke going up.
I realize this will be a hardship as it will entail choking down more whiskey…..

if you find one...what's your plan?

Funny story-we own no ashtrays, and I bought one at the Goodwill store just so I could pose the shot just like you described. Picture Day and I can't find the damn thing. I finally quit on the bourbon, the ice kept melting and I had to keep refilling the glass. Explains the incredibly artistic (and out of focus) pictures I started getting.
