Okay guys, bring on the
The one is not up for calendar consideration, although I did mull over submitting it. In the end, I decided the non-matching shrouds should not be calendar worthy.
So, honorable mention is my Model 44 "Pac". The gun was made for the AHF (American Historical Foundation) for a special run of big game series. For whatever reason, the bear guns wearing this S/N (mine is BEAR002) didn't go forward. So at some point the gun was re-blued in an awesome mile-deep blue job. And when I say "the gun was re-blued", I mean everything! The top strap, top of the shroud, hammer, trigger, everything but the sights. Even the barrel inside the shroud!
I have never fired this one. Here, it's wearing a special limited edition grip so generously made by my friend Laurence Bruce in 2011 ~ 2012 for the short lived Dan Wesson Collector's Association. One of maybe 4 or 5? The reason I decided to not put this up for calendar consideration is because I put a 445SM BA in this self made "Pac" as a place holder for what I hoped would be a 10" BA. So far a worthy one hasn't come my way, but I'm still looking!
