To you who load your own rounds for a .357 Mag,

I'm fairly new to reloading.  I've been loading mostly .45 Colt for CAS and .38 Special rounds.

I feel I'm good enough now to start loading for my DW .357 Mag.

I can think of no better people to ask what you think the best loads might be than all ya'll here on the DW Forum.

I like my .357's to be .357's not .38's, so I am looking for a good fast and accurate load.

What's your favorites?

What type bullet?

What weight bullet?

What powder?

What grain of powder?

What COL for each bullet?

Cant' wait!,

JIM

I like a 158 grain Hornady or Nosler jacketed bullet with 13 grains of AA-9, standard powder, any brass.

Seat to the cannelure, use a Redding Profile Crimp die.

I wont give my load with 2400 powder and 180 gr XTPs but it works. I have figured out it hates anything to do with my cast wadcutters but my Smith loves them, in any load. Thankfully the Dan seems happy with my cast 124gr (130) round nose, 9mm but the 9 is giving me headaches.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
