So I took the 732 out for it's first range session with my first batch of 32 Mag reloads...
First of all -- my gun is filthy, all the powder isn't burning, and my velocity has a 100fps spread... and I'm still smiling !!!
5.4 gr of Blue dot topped off with a 100 gr cast RNFP resulted in a nice 25yd 5 shot group...
Not bad for the first batch of reloads--I only used a light crimp, and they were not uniform since I didn't trim the cases. I think if I use a heavier and more uniform crimp, I'll burn all the powder. Hopefully accuracy will not fall off with a heavier crimp.
Velocity was between 850 and 960 FPS -- this is actually a little slow for this load--could be the light crimp I used. I'm shooting for 1,000 fps.
I haven't done any tuning to this 732 yet--all I did was tighten the barrel down to .006 and started shooting. I may run the gap tighter and see how it affects accuracy.
Now I'm wondering how this thing would shoot with a scope on it...

Mike,
I think you'll like this cartridge in a Dan as you go along.. I had groups like this my first time out as well with my model 32VH8. I think you'll find the Dan Wesson and 32 H&R a real match made in revolver heaven. I was loading 100 grain cast lead and 100 grain XTp's with about equal results. My experience was a very powder residue dirty one as well, I think very indicative of the types of powder and light crimps. I loaded, H4227, Bullseye and 231 just to name a few.

Very nice, and a good shooter to boot! I've learned from years of shooting heavy loads in the big bores that a tight cartridge case to bullet fit cannot be corrected with a heavier crimp. If you have a good fit then more crimp may give more consistant ignition. Good luck, something about that revolver turns me on.
