Hello guys. I was watching an IPSC airsoft competition video from UK and it made me wonder. In parts of the world where getting hold of firearms legally is difficult or even impossible such as UK, Japan or Europe among others people turn to airsoft and airguns for shooting. I fear there is a possibillity at some point that this example becomes universal. Think if the goverment of any given country says "you can shoot something that resembles a firearm for sport, why do you need the real thing?" . Its certainly harder for this to become reality for you in the U.S. but i believe that my fear is not totally irrational. What do you think?

I think that is a pretty unlikely argument, and not one that would be utilized by the American Gun Grabbers. These people will move heaven and earth to take all the guns from everyone in America, one slice at a time, and several of those steps have occurred already. They don't need to "allow" toys as a rational alternative to justify their actions, they are armed with self righteous zeal, and they are fully focused on their single goal.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steve is right. Paradoxically, the attempt to take our guns is what will trigger the revolution that the left fears. The right to bear arms is so critical to freedom that our founding fathers made it the SECOND. ammendment.

Steve, we need a "LIKE" button on the forum, you stated that perfectly!

Chris- Thanks! Fortunately, we already know how we feel on these issues. Unfortunately, the "Powers that be" also know how we feel, but really don't care until we make them care. There is one Presidential candidate that:

1) Might (probably will) protect our Second Amendment rights

2) Might (probably will) limit the continued influx of people that the World needs to care for where they already live, not just in America

3) Might (possibly will) make our Federal Government operate in a fiscally sensible way, instead of looking at employed, working American taxpayers like an open line of credit that can just be overdrawn/over spent, and indebted far into the future.

Do I like that candidate? I think he/she/it is a jerk.

Will I vote for that candidate? Yes, because the alternative terrifies me

Final Note- I am WAY off topic, and I apologize, we know by now that sometimes I do not know when to STFU!
