Okay Guys,

Here are the rules for the April Photo Contest.  I'm going to make this one a little more difficult.

1) Has to be of a Dan Wesson (High Standard or Mitchell Arms copies allowed)

2) Closeups of the features that make Dan Wesson unique.

Time to work on your macro photography skills!  Ken Rockwell has a lot of great info on his site and here is a link to an article on Macro Photography.

Winner receives a DWF 2011 Calender.

Good Luck...

Dan Wesson offered a large variety of grips and grip styles, due to the single square-post frame extension. By far, the favorite is the Zebrawood...this one from a 1979 15-2.

Dang, I can already tell I'm gonna be going in dead last with this one, but here goes. Here's 7 dimpled .375 SM cases in front of the gun that sent their hot lead downrange just yesterday...range-time hehe laugh

Dan Wesson was very interested in the handgun silhouette game, and willing to listen to Elgin Gates on what was needed to be competitive. The M40 .357 SuperMag was the result, a massive-frame able to handle rifle-type pressures with a new untested cartridge. The resulting gun was too heavy to make weight, so they came up with the slotted shroud...a trademark of the SuperMags.

Among the many collaborations between IHMSA and Dan Wesson was the Silhouette 22 and 722. Special serial numbers are things not often seen on other makes of revolvers. This 722 has the ETG prefix, for Elgin T. Gates.

laughing  This is a GREAT picture featuring the signature design innovation of the Dan Wesson revolver

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

No one else was willing to produce revolvers for hi-powered wildcats. Elgin Gates worked with Dan Wesson to introduce this one in 1995.

Dan Wesson through versatility allows their interchangeable barrell system to mate revolvers of different generations of manufacture to all of their barrell assemblies including these two new 2" .44 magnum examples on both a Norwich and Palmer manufactured frames.

Early on Dan Wesson needed to get the Revolver out with the interchangeable system the W-12 with external mounting nut!  (Ugly Nut)
