Hi!

I'm back at shooting again after a big dip in my life. Feels great to be back at my old range and a new one!

Been quite busy polishing the dust of my handguns and have bought a couple of rifles.

I'll most likely be heading over to San Francisco in November and like to know if there is any good ranges in the area. At the moment I'm most interested finding a 1000yrd range where you can rent a rifle (as it is to great of a hassle to bring my own weapons from abroad).

A good handgun range with a good assortment of wheel guns for rent would also be of interest (dans are required! big-grin).

Google found http://www.bayareafirearms.com for me, anyone know if the are any good? A private session with a long range rifle sounds quite nice.

Have a good one! occasion

Welcome back to the world of shooting alor! I can't help you with the range question because I'm from the midwest. Hope you have a good trip to the U.S

Well I'm back from San Fran now and had a grand time!

Unfortunately I can't recommend Bay area firearms.

Might be a place to go for a CCW permit but for long range rifle NO WAY.

I asked for training for 1000yards shooting with a good rifle and I ended up paying $415 for shooting 20 rounds with a deacent .308 (Rem 700 VTR) at 25, 50 and 100yards. With an additional 60 rounds .223 with an AR15 that I'd NEVER EVER would put in the hands of a serious shooter (pure crap, not cleaned in hundreds of rounds and the trigger felt like it was full of grit and weighed a ton of bricks plus something wasen't screwed down properly. Three shooters and no one managed to place three shots within two inches at 100yards)!

The best advice I got from the instructor was "Good shot, now do that again").

A blind mole can get a decent grouping at 100y with a good rifle...

Anyway a day at the range is a good day so I didn't complain as much as I should have.

Cheers

Sorry to hear about your SF experience. Next time come to Texas and I guarantee you will find some fun and reasonably priced places to shoot. Texas flag

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

if you find one...what's your plan?
