No, because while the shroud and barrel nut are the same size, the .357 pilot won't fit the .22 bore.

I suggest getting a proper barrel nut wrench from EWK arms, they are top quality.  See his add in the right hand column.

BTW, welcome to the DWF.

I only have the 357 now. I am looking for a 22. It seems like most of them dont have the wrench with them Randy

If you buy a wrench from Eric they will work for the difference calibers because the pilot will switch out.  As Mike pointed out the factory wrenches can only be used for their specific caliber.

EWK is the only Wrench to buy!  While you are at it buy a new nut.  When removing make sure not to strip old nut as this is another problem.

The 22's tend to fetch a higher price overall, than the 357's. It seems there were fewer of them made, so the price reflects the demand.

However, not & then a good deal can be found, so don't give up.smile

Welcome to the forum.  As others have said, Eric's wrench is top quality and the pilots are interchangeable.

Good luck on your search for a 22.  Their is this one on Armslist.com http://www.armslist.com/posts/267022/columbus-ohio-handguns-for-sale--dan-wesson-22
