Lonwolf's post on his new Guardian started my itch for a 38 Super again. When searching around on the various websites I found the 'blem' versions for sale. Is there anything that verifies that a DW pistol/revolver was distributed as a second, or blemished product? Letter in the serial number or something on the original box label, etc? The fact isn't a great concern to me if advertised as such, with appropriate pricing, but I'll admit I'm not always a trusting soul.

I reload so the ramped, and I assume, fully supported barrel, makes the DW more appealing in this caliber. Along with the finish, I like it much better than the Colt variant I'd looked at previously.

Please understand I'm not 'trolling' when bringing up this topic. To go ahead with this purchase means selling another pistol that I obviously wanted at the time of purchase.

DW normally identifies factory blems with an upside down "y" after the S/N

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Here are some pics of the blem mark and chamber support for 9mm.  If you come across bulged brass, just run them through a base-sizing die or "bulge buster" as some are called.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Thanks Steve for the info and Ron for the photos and tip. Reloading for a 10mm Glock brought the 'bulge buster' to my attention.laugh They should include one with Glock products……..j/k

Now I'll go back and lock myself into a closet…..sometimes it helps me get over these urges to buy another gun.
