Good morning

My thanks to each of you veterans and all active duty.  About sunrise I will be up on our flat roof facing north and salute all my brothers in arms that made the sacrifice so that we can once again dedicate ourselves to Freedom .

I wish everyone a safe and happy Memorial Day. I know you guys know that we must keep our brothers in arms in our thoughts and prayers everyday. And not just Memorial Day. May God bring them home safe. Freedom is not free is it.

A veteran is someone who, at one point, wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America’ for an amount of ‘up to and including their life.’
That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country
who no longer understand it.

Lt. Col. George Goodson, USMC, Ret

I think this says it all.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Ronald Reagan said that most people live their whole lives not knowing their purpose and wondering if they've made a difference in the world.  The United States Marines don't have that problem.

I think this can apply to all branches of service.

THANK YOU!

I'm certainly grateful to all the soldiers that have fought and died for our country and those that continue to fight.  Without you we certainly would not have the privileges of owning guns and spending time on sites like this.

I have changed the header of the site in observance of Memorial Day!

Bless them and keep them under your wings Lord.

I'm not only remembering those who have served, but those who are about to...  I had the honor of turning loose 27 brand new 2nd Lt's on the AF this last week (out of 1077 total)...  Hard to let them go--spent the last 3 years with them everyday--they are like my own kids...and truly part of my family..
