I want to repaint the DW medallions in a grip that has chipped paint. I have already taken them out of the grip. They look bad!

Can someone give the steps to restore them and what type of paint would i use? poke

Thank you,  stovepipe

I have an old thread on here somewhere....  basically fill the medallion with paint using a toothpick--then place a piece of fine sandpaper on a flat surface and rub the face of the medallion on it to polish up the logo and remove paint.  This is for the brass medallions, not plastic.

Thanks, SHOOT

I did not look that hard in the old threads.

Do you think model paint thinned out would work OK?

If my DW brass emblem  came close to your photo,   I would be very happy.

Thanks, occasion

I've done them different ways--model paint, spray can, thinned, straight, etc....  doesn't seem to matter, just use whatever you have on hand.  I think I prefer it kind of thin...it runs off the toothpick when you touch the medallion.
