I'm looking to do some competitive shooting, and was wondering what everyone thought I should try and get into? I'm in the Lubbock area where I go to school, for what it's worth.
I have a S&W 422 semi-automatic pistol, Colt Government 1911, and a DW 15-2 with a 6" and soon to have 4" barrels.

I have shot my 15-2 in ICORE
and in
ICORE is revolver only and six-gun friendly
Outlawsteel is revolver "friendly" but really its become auto game. All the others have moved over to magazine guns. Steel challenge is veru fun to shoot. Texas-star is evil.
With the S&W 8-shot guns.... they have an advantage, as of course all the autos with 10 to 15 shots. I thought about trying some steel challenge again, but not with my baby 15-2.. I would probably grab a CZ or a CZ clone in 9mm.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

I've checked in the Lubbock area and IDPA was all I found, so now the choice is use a really nice blue 15-2 or stainless 1911? I'm leaning toasted the 1911 since it won't show wear as bad.
Let me know what y'all think
