A few minutes ago I visited one of the few shooting forums I still follow with any regularity, where there had been some posts deemed inappropriate by the owner/admin. Several regulars were suspended, and there were five pages of post/counterpost about the original posts, Admin reaction, etc. Lots of sound and fury that doesn't have anything the guns, shooting, etc.
Long way around to saying thanks to the group here that knows how to behave and have fun without the Lounge, Joke, and Bitter Political Satire stuff. I know where to find that stuff if I want it, and I'm glad I don't find it here.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks for your comments. I could not agree more. There are enough places in the world to find those sources of stress that it is a nice retreat to come to this Forum and enjoy the true enthusiast's passion on our DW's and have fun in the process. I am glad you reminded us what a special place we have.

I agree, it's refreshing to have a forum that's free from a lot of the turmoil found on other forums. I think we do a pretty good job of self policing & getting along with our fellow enthusiast.
I feel that as we grow, it's only natural that "that sort" of riff-raff will eventually find their way in here. But if we can try to maintain a good example of the way we'd like it to be around here, I don't see why it can't be a great site for years to come.
