The Newtown, CT school shootings are shocking and horrific. I feel strongly that the most appropriate discussion of this tragedy is to mourn the deaths, the devastation to the living, and the sickness that led to these actions.
Please take time to reflect on the vulnerabilities of our human life, and if you are so inclined, Pray for the loss to families and friends of the all victims.
Peace Be With You.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Today I went to my daugther's (she's 5) Christmas program at her preschool and as I watched her on stage my thoughts drifted to those who were impacted by this horrible event. All this at a place where children should feel safe. Tonight my heart and prayers are with the families.

I cannot even begin to fathom the amount of pure evil that would bring a person to carry out an act like this, it's just beyond my scope of reasoning.
My heart goes out to those grieving families for the unbelievable and senseless loss of their innocent children...I wish I could more effectively convey the deep sorrow I feel for those parents & families. Although my own children are now adults, I am giving them each an extra hug today.

We are all heart broken, horrified and sickened. But in reality there seems to be a trend going on. A sick young man desensitized by the violent 3D video games or movies of today. As reported, if people know of someone who is acting strange. Be it a loved one, a neighbor or co-worker. They need to bring it to someones attention. I have had older friends that were showing signs of dementia and the family was told to get all firearms out of the home and hide the car keys. I said this last summer and I'm saying it now. This happened once, its going to happen again.

I can't imagine the pain of losing a child, especially to something as senseless as this. Hopefully the prayers of those of us (Americans) who care will help them to bear the burden.
I think that Dantanna may be right about the violent content available in our society today. First amendment issues aside, I really think that this material qualifies as sedition.
Our prayers go out to all of the victims of this tragedy.

Our's is a violent world. Throughout human history a veneer of civility has been layered over the fact that Homo Sapiens is a predatory species. We have seen countless times that the predatory instinct has broken through the humanity and compassion that we also have, in shocking and terrifying ways, ranging from worldwide global conflict to a street corner mugging.
I Pray for the Soul of those departed, and the Spirit of those that remain.

I pray for those poor parents and can not imagine their grief. This is an horrific event and especially at Christmas time. I am sure those parents were so looking forward to their children's excitement. There will be no joy of Christmas for the whole town. How do you deal with future Christmas' with the memory of this one. Those little angels are in heaven and I hope that crazy bastard is burning in hell for all eternity.
