I'm not an expert in this area, but I believe it depends on the video source.

For example, I have added You Tube links (streaming video) to a thread by using the Microsoft hyperlink feature (Copy You Tube link; right click in a blank word document and toggle down and click on "Hyperlink"; paste link into the hyperlink "address" and click "OK"; then, copy hyperlink and post hyperlink into the thread).  I think this should work for most forms of streaming video.

The other method that I'm aware of is similar to how we upload pictures into a thread using the link icon above, but instead you link to a video that you've uploaded onto a web site like photo bucket and others…I hope this helps.

I'm sure other Forum members who are more savvy than me will provide a better idea and/or a better explanation.
