I'd rather not say in public what I paid for it. Im considering breaking up the pack and selling the 15" barrel. I'll post more pics in the for sale section.
No biggie if you’d rather not say.
For what it’s worth, I sold a mint 15" blued 357 barrel assembly for $1100 in September 2017 to a guy on the DW Fan Club Facebook group.
Uh, those 1978 prices are inoperative today. Lol. 1100 for a mint 15" is a very good deal. The 12" seem to be scarcer than the 15" though. Both are too long for off hand shooting. My favorite small frame length for target shooting is the 10" vent or standard. The extra sight radius makes them tremendously accurate but they are light enough to hold without support. I find the VH a bit muzzle heavy for my taste.
I really love the 22 silhouettes. You can always use the shroud with a 357 barrel on the 15-2 . Ditto the 32mag.

I shot a 15" VH 357 and I did not think it was too long for offhand shooting. I guess it depends on your hand/grip/arm strength is? but I had any issues whatsoever. It was so much fun to shoot as the recoil from full power 357's was like a 38 spl.
I like the balance of my 10" 44 mag VH barrel assembly. Even with the scope mounted it's not terrible.
