You have an extraordinarily valuable DW that is grossly under appreciated in the revolver world. First Issues have the finest fit and finish of Dan Wessons IMHO. Note the frame pins on the right side of the frame are polished smooth (like fine European Revolvers and S&Ws). The top strap bead blasting looks like diamond dust. The one contrary feature on First Issue small frame guns is the wide gap between the back of the side plate and the frame. Normally it would be hidden by the grip but with the undercover grip you can see it. I suspect it is intentional. So that the remaining seams between the frame and sideplate can be perfect. All other small frame Dans have a rather ill fitting sideplate compared to Smiths, Colts, Manurhins, Korth, etc. I like the FI guns more than any others but most folk are not aware of such stuff. Hence, it's value would be similar to any other 715 in like condition.$ 700 to 800 perhaps. The box and doorknob tool would have added another 200 to 300.
