As far as I can tell, a book of this type does not exist, and if no one takes the time to get this history together in one spot it will be lost forever. I have contracted with a writer friend of mine who has published scores of beautiful hardback historical books. He knows the ropes, and is fortunately a passionate friend of the gun. Here is the plan, and it will all be fluid depending on who is willing to share information, pictures, and knowledge of the history of Dan Wesson.
If you have pertinent information that is critical and/or relevant to the history of Dan Wesson, please contact me via pm with a phone number so we can talk. My fingers are old and slow....typing is just a PITA! Our plan is to set up a massive road trip this winter to interview all willing participants individually, take as many photographs as we can (quality.) We will be bringing our own cameras, lights, and background for the pics. IF you folks are interested in participating and all goes as planned, the first run (30 books) would probably be done as soon as approximately a year from today. That batch will be sent free of charge to those who were interviewed and/or submitted critical information. We will want you to read and edit the work that we have done, so that the final run...probably 10,000, will not have ANY errors or omissions.
All who participate will be acknowledged in the forward and that is only appropriate. This is not a small task guys. I know I am getting into something that is very deep, difficult, and time consuming, but my parents were history buffs and I guess I got it from them?! A lot of travel and time is going to be consumed by this project. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from those who can help me follow this project to fruition.
Appreciate you all,
Scott Rosenberger
