Shortly after my son moved to Galveston, they had some cold temps and rain, lot's of iced over windshields in his apartment complex. He had the only ice scraper around, rumor has it that he made lot's of new (female) friends that morning.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Christmas '04 I was visiting one of my sisters, who lives in Corpus Christi, TX (Flour Bluff actually - where the CC Army Depot and Naval Air Station are located). We woke up on Christmas morning to find 5 inches of snow on the ground. Apparently this was a once in a lifetime event. The last time it snowed in CC was over 100 years ago. I have pictures of snow on palm trees...
Global warming - yea, right! I agree that the burning of oil/gas may cause some effects. However energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be change from one state to another. The energy contained in fossil fuel had to come from somewhere.

In 04 or 05 I was hauling a super load to Lerado a week before Christmas. I got to Dallas and they was 2" of snow on the roads and everything was at a stand still. Lost a whole days travel.
