wifey and i went and saw the 3d version in theatre instead of waiting for the dvd.
well about 3/4 way through the movie the "colonel" goes out onto the balcany of the control room and pulls out what looks like a stainless scoped DW PPC? revolver. its got the very very heavy lugged barrel.
can't wait till dvd now so i can pause and zoom.

yep it sure is a Dan Wesson! sweet. so just think...i guess wayy into the future and even on distant planets the DW will still be rockin' !

In the movie/anime world there are so many PPC knock-off models it is hard to tell what is real and what is movie prop work anymore. Still, it looks like a DW.

Yep .. I had to read through all the thread .. but the guy that helped build the prop.. said 715. He even had a pic of the frame with cylinder extension out the front sans the green paint.
I enjoyed reading the thread. It seems to be mostly SFX type guys and few gun nuts. Some were hopeful that the Producer went up to DW and asked for the prop. I am pretty sure CZ didnt oblige. Movie stuff is fun... but its better when life imitates art.
