Boy, $1200 is a lofty price for sure, but I still want one. I'd better find a dealer soon who would take a preorder deposit, so I can jump in on this. This will be the very first new gun I've ever bought!
Charger Fan – you must have missed my post at the beginning of the thread. I am going to be ordering the guns as soon as orders can be booked. It won't be long now.
I'm on the list!
Shoot, I'm hoping that Keith will eventually drop by the DWF. I think at least up until now he would have gotten bombarded with questions about the return of revolvers, etc. which I suspect he has little control in.
I know CZ-USA knows we're here. I sent them the petition we all signed earlier this year but have been disappointed that I never received a reply. Keep in mind this was sent to CZ-USA President Alice Poluchova not to Keith.
The good news is at least for now the 715 is returning to production!
On a side note I received my CZ-USA catalog today which is really the Guns & Ammo CZ-USA Special Collector's Edition 2011 issue. I know I purchased the 2010 and it was $6 or $7 so it was nice to receive it for free!

I sure did miss it. That's great then, I'll just keep checking the for order updates...much easier than going through a dealer.

I was at a dealer to pick up some ammo for rabbit hunting.
I asked them about putting some money down on a new DW 715 for the 2011 first run. They knew nothing about it, but they did confirm that it was in the 2011 CZ Catalog. But no pricing nor schedule was available to this dealer (Jay's in Clare MI).
They would be interested on getting more DW revolvers in their showrooms....they will be contacting their distributor and would let me know any upcoming updates...I will let this forum know once I receive any info from Jay's.

Please consider working with DWF Member harly, I think he is trying to set up a group buy.
Clare, MI!
Been through and around there many times, it's one of the most beautiful parts of America.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

A new 715 with a new shroud design $1200 does seem a bit high, but since it includes a pistol pac type case the price is a little more reasonable.
I agree with Jody, CZ is pushing the new Dan Wesson revolvers ever closer into Freedom Arms territory – and this is not a bad thing .
With an ETA of June 2011, I have some time to save my pennies.

If the price is set close to Freedom Arms, I certainly expect the performance to be close also, right?
For those of you that own both, in the .357 caliber, what is the current delta of accuracy between the two? I realize that they are two different technologies but just the same, $1,200 should get you something extra.

Just posted on the CZ-USA website: DW 715 with a 6"VH Barrel SS with Hogue grip, case and wrench. But no MSRP given
http://cz-usa.com/products/view/dw715/
When will they come out with the Model 15 or the 744?

I would be surprised if the design varied from the original but who knows. Since I expect these to be a little pricey I wonder what that will do to the used 15/715 market...
I'm not sure how this will affect DW prices, but just in case... I bought this 2 minutes ago ...

DW showed up today, and it truly does look LNIB--I think I'll just toss this one in the back of the safe and check on it every once in a while ... I feel the DW market taking a dramatic upswing in 2011...

Palo,
It's been a few years ago, but IIRC my 15-2 with 10" BA and 4x scope turned in some good results at 50 yards. I recently added a Freedom Arms in .357 to my collection. This one is equipped with a 9" barrel and 4x scope. I am planning to get out to the range sometime soon with both revolvers and do some comparison target shooting.
I will post with info and pictures when this happens.
