Finally got my hands on the DWX that I have been anxiously awaiting. What a gem at the range, but I have an issue with the ambidextrous safety. I lost the end of my index finger and now have to use my middle finger as my trigger finger. What is left of my index finger pushes up into the safety on the right side of the gun and as I shoot it engages the safety. Quite aggravating. Anybody know if there is a way to remove the ambidextrous safety in favor of a conventional one?

Don't know about this one???? Shares some 1911 traits and some CZ75 traits not sure which way the thumb safety is designed on this one. I'm sure a call to DW will get your question answered. You can PM Keith or start another thread over on 1911forum.com as there are a few of these out in the wild over there.
