Im looking around to add a porker and need to educate. Anyone willing to add pictures to this thread and explain what it is would be great. I want to get a porker but do not want to mistake and buy a franken gun.

I'll attempt to answer some of your questions about pork chop Dans, and if other members find incorrect information they can educate us both!
Photo 1. is indeed a Model 14. The rear sight (and its corresponding front sight) is very high due to the thickness of the rear part of the frame. It would have a recessed barrel nut.
Photo 2. is a Model 14-2. You will notice that the frame is not as thick at the rear, and the sights are lower. It also has the standard shroud we enjoy today.
Photo 3. is a Model 15. That hefty frame allows for a very large adjustable rear sight that matches the rather high front sight.
Photo 4. is another Model 15.
Models 8,9,11 and 12 have external barrel nuts and are thus easily recognizable. Model 8 and 9 are .38 Special; 11 and 12 are .357 Magnum.
The photo I'm posting is of my Model 15-1. It has the thinner frame of the later models and corresponding lower sights as well as the recessed barrel nut. Also, it has the cylinder crane latch of the later models (15-2). Not visible in the photo is the longer hammer throw more associated with the 15-2. Models 8,9,11,12,14 and 15 have a shorter hammer throw. Some folks feel that they are more accurate because of this feature. The grips on this gun are from a much later DW. Hope this helps.

The 14-1(fixed sight) and 15-1(adjustable sight) were only made for about a year (1974) so they are not as plentiful as the 15-2. Not exactly scarce, but you might not find one the first time you search. The internals are basically identical to the 15-2 and are interchangeable.

You may come across a High Standard Sentinel MK 11 or a Sentinel MK 111.
They are the same as a DW 14-1 and 15-1 respectively.
If your plan is to try and build a pistol pack you will have a difficult time finding barrel shrouds for the HS. However, if a Porker is what you want as a one barrel length revolver the HS is the same as a DW.
