Well I have thought about having my 44 engraved.  Has anyone here had any engraving done?  If you did who was it, and would you recommend them?  Anyone with any input would be great, even if you think I shouldnt.

I have wanted to do this as well, but did not want to do it to my original shrouds.. I am EXTREMELY hopefull that with EWK possibly making new barrels AND shrouds that I can get a shroud or 2 and have them engraved. Now that I have 3 15-2's .. I might even pop for one of them.. but I doubt it has I am having the one gun that really needed a blue job already being done. While Ihave zero talent .. I have a big imagination...

At a minimum I will have the EWK shroud custom laser etched.

wallet.. not so much....

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

I haven't checked into who I would consider a good engraver, nor have I had a gun engraved. But I do have the opinion that there's a fine line between a good engraver & one that can make mincemeat out of an otherwise perfectly respectable gun.Wink Most of the engraving jobs I've seen done in the last decade or so, seem to fall in the mincemeat category.rofl Cry

Had some factory engraving done on some Smith's and lost $ on resale years later.

If you have it done make sure it's for your personal value because the gun

value will not increase as much as the engraving cost. That is unless you can

find a master engraver that is awful hungry.

Thats good to know. I thought good engraving would increase the value. I guess its because its personal taste. I guess Ill have to rethink this.  Thanks for the info guys.
