So I bought 2000+ rounds of 148gr SWC hand cast bullets. They have a very narrow flat tip cone versus the much more common 158gr SWC I am used too. But the price was right. When I got the box, ( USPS) the bullets had been put in a 1 gal zipper bag and put in the box with lots of room to wiggle, sure enough the zip-lock bag broke and the bullets now free to move the entire volumn of the box, have removed some the alox from some of them. (not to mention spill on the carport upon delivery). So I spent part of sunday afternoon picking through the box and sorting out good bullets from not so good and putting 100 in a zip-lock sandwich bag. Then I took each sandwich bag and cut a nick out of one corner, and finally used a "seal-a-meal ( 8" *10' roll) to seal each "brick" of 100 bullets. Just like a vacuume pack brick of coffee, the bullets dont move around and hurt each other, and you can easly pick them up just like they were a solid bar. This is how I plan to deliver them to reloader.
So the bullets that now have some are all the alox missing .. what do I do with them? Can I use them anyway?
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

This is my answer and I'm sticking to it. The bullets missing the alox are no good and will explode on contact, you better send them to me. I have a pattened Dillon reloader and a DW that will shoot them reliably most of the time.

Just load them up and shoot them--if you are worried about leading, just shoot 1 of them for every 5 of the nice ones.
I bought a lot of bullets from a supplier in AZ one time. The bullets had been sitting in a garage and all the lube melted and ran --it was 50/50 if the bullets had lube or not. I shot all of them with no problems.

My only concern is…
…wait for it…
…I hope you left the seller some SCALDING negative FEEDBACK!!!
Good grief, anyone with an ounce of grey matter in his thin skull should know that there's a certain amount of forethought involved in packaging something like a bunch of little LEAD weighted items for overland transport. What a putz.
I tell ya, there's one born every minute…wait a sec…I've heard that somewhere before.
