They keep referring to it as "Dale Wesson" but they quote Kieth Lawton so its got to be Dan Wesson.
The video has it correct it IS Dan Wesson.
Somehow I always pictured the 'factory' as being somewhat larger. It looks like someones log home.
Hope they can get back up and running soon.
Wonder what CZ will do? Will they absorb production somewhere else or will they pump in money to help get back online?
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Yep - that's it. Binghamton is my hometown and Norwich just a short ride through the hills. It's out in the middle of nowhere. I'm curious what they will do as well. I hope they've been profitable in recent years otherwise their continued existence could be in jeopardy. Probably check the CZ website for updates.

DW has such a great reputation in the 1911 community that CZ cannot help but bring it back on line pretty quickly, I think.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Now that type of "Plant" is just beautiful. It looks more like a Christmas gift shop or someones home. Warm and cozy.
Just some smoke damage. It'll be up and running in no time. Local news loves to build up the story. Nothing blew up. Just a burned hand and a tangled up fireman.

For anybody who follows CZ on FaceBook, they made an announcement today that the fire started in the basement, probably electrical in nature, and that the plant will be shut down at least through the end of 2012. They also said that one worker was burned, but didn't require hospitalization.
It's a shame for this to happen so close to the holidays. I am thankful nobody was seriously injured.

The insurance company will pay the employee's their full wages until the plant is spruced up and back to normal. They may just have a long Christmas Vacation. May be a blessing in disguise. A friend of mines place of employment was took out by a tornado a few years ago. Everyone was volunteering to help rebuild until they found out they would receive their regular 40 hour a week pay until it was reconstructed. They had 5 month's off with full pay plus insurance.
