SHOOT you need a Whipping for making a comment like that!  However I'm still looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Well the 40 is in INDIANAPOLIS, IN according to FedEx should be at my dealers by 4:30 tomorrow which is only 2 minutes from my house!

Bought a 15-2 off gunbroker today, got it for a good price.  Not the best looker but I have a winter to clean it up.

I saw you bought that one-- I think you got a great deal for the condition it is in--I've bought them in much worse shape.

It was a good price $257 for 15-2 VH6.  I always wonder if I am bidding against the regulars on the forum.

I was on 1 today that ended at $271.  I didn't get it.  I am PSU_FB on GB.

I picked up that 15-2 today.  It is in very good shape.  The grip has some marks on it but I have a half a dozen spares.  All the marks on the shroud were tape residue and cleaned up in seconds.  I opened the side plate and there is almost no wear.  I don't think it was fired more than a few times.  A little rem oil and its ready for the range.  I thought I was buying a basket case but it is a great gun.

Gotta love it when they show up in nicer condition than expected.... the last two 15's I bought were heavy on Barney--but not a mark anywhere--near mint.

Went out and shot th new one today, good grouping.

Then thought I would do a quick check of the local shops.  Walked into  small shop and they had a Pistol Pack on the counter, all heavy vented barrels.  Shop owner said he has never seen one in his 18 years.  I wipped out my Visa card and it was mine for $775.  Went back to the range and she shoots sweet.  Took it apart and another gun with no ware.  Its been a good weekend.

I was wantering about the mix of stainless and blue parts, and the hammer is solid instead of the cut out.  The SN is odd too "357B005789" Monson Mass.

What's you thinking shoot?

You forgot to include " DWAS" in that…Big Grin

Way to go & a big time congrats!!occasion Yours is may be the 4th I've seen with what appear to be the "factory dark" fabric in the Pistol Pac.Smile

BTW, at least 80%  of my DW's have had worse looking innards, so that's a plus, too.Laugh

Yep, hammer is odd, some SS parts, and I don't think ANY 15 I have ever owned had the tang cutout like the large frames...

Just curious I guess--could be a factory oddball, or a custom project.

I think there's a few 15 hammer changes that haven't been scrutinized yet...here's one on GB this week that look similar, for example...

Or pretty much the same, without the spring in the way...

I think there's approximately 5 different small frame hammer designs, from what I've seen. One day I'll post an example of each...Smile
