As most people who Ive been in contact here knows Ive been searching for a Dan Wesson for the past few weeks, the problem was I was so picky. I was looking for the 715 (stainless steel finish) .357, well I finally purchased one.
Bad news is I still havent received it, as I sent the money in today and arranged with my local firing range to receive the weapon.
Well heres a pic:

Comes with everything on the screen, in addition he mentioned theres a letter congratulating the buyer for buying a Dan Wesson that hes sending with it.
Now if I can get one of those Action Cup Shrouds from Eric Ill be in business.
A buddy of mine came to the store with and hes getting a Springfield Armory XD-40, so were hoping to be at the range on Thursday test driving them out. Will be the first gun I ever fired.
Will keep you guys posted.

My wife's first handgun was /is her 715. She still shoots it every time we go to the range even if she also shoots whatever else wemight have "brung".
Let me suggest that before you go to the range, clean it thoroughly and set the barrel gap. Be sure to check the gap on all cylinder positions and set it on the tightest one. We wouldn't want you to have it bind up on you after a few rounds because of improper gapping.

Thats a clean 715!
That cleaning and gapping suggestion is spot on... other ideas
If the grips dont feel "great" remember that you can replaced them easy (yourself) with the houge rubber ( very nice) and with something from LB..
.38s would be a good starting round then move up to the .357 when you want a real nice BANG!
we are expecting a range report!
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.

Awesome, according to the seller a gap tool is included. Ill take it home first and give it a good cleaning, Ive been researching the best methods to clean it without damaging the firearm. Once its all pretty and clean Im thinking of getting bothe the Houge Grips and a set of LBCustom Grips, was looking at something like these:

I agree, LB's grips are a notch above the rest! However, first things first...do as Zooomb suggested & give that new-to-you DW a good once-over, once you get it home. Then take it to the range & see how it runs. Then decide whether or not you wanna spring for some new grips.
Oh & congrats, that one looks like a beauty from here.

Well we headed to the range today and it was amazing, not only was it my first time mfiring a Dan Wesson but my first time firing at all. Now I know what you boys are always talking about. The stress relief was amazing.
I shot the DW .357 mag and wow what a bang. A buddy of mine who bought a Springfield Armory XD.40 and I put a few rounds with it but boy did I love my DW.
It was coool cause his 16 year old daughter came and she had fun firing both weapons.
Well heres my first target shot ever at about 20 yards.
