I love my flippin DW 445 SuperMags but I’m not sure about those flipping guns - if you know what I mean. Quick $600 by adding some grips, hmmm…..

Thanks for that. It seemed the 41 would be a bit more rare than the 357s and 44s, and I had held out for a Coonan in 41 mag for so long (listed forever but never released), that it scratched the DW and 41 itch in one buy.
This was a bit of a glamour shot, well 45 of them actually! When it arrived it wasn't very worn bluing but different on trigger assembly group/guard versus the frame and barrel.
Some purplish, others nice blue. The 4inch ba flawless and probably unused. I am concerned how much value Wld be affected even with a high end reblue

Purple is called Patina, and I wouldn’t waste money on a reblue. It’s character and adds to originality whereas a reblue brings the firearm into question. If it’s a shooter, then rebluing is a personal and mostly aesthetic preference.
I’ve got a Coonan 357 and the handle is a beast, but fun and wild to shoot. Stainless is soft and the slide has galled a bit (despite good lubing) which is disappointing on top of the fact Coonan doesn’t exist anymore. You could always get a Desert Eagle 44/41 set, but maybe opt for an Israeli original that is worth more than the now US made ones.

Thanks so much for your input gentleman!! Alright the finish stays as is.
I did have the Coonan 357 and took a beautiful ram with it at 150 meters. It's accuracy was superb!
I did have a few Eagles but they were very picky about ammo and it made me nervous always
clearing jams for friends. Also the cast heavies were a no no.
It had a lot to do with going for a 41 revolver, and the DW had the accuracy attraction. Ian

I've tried to snag an LAR a few times but keep missing out. I noted an odd and significant velocity
increase over the DE and Coonan with 357 with identical ammo. 250 plus FPS sometimes.
on longer shots with autos I can't get over the difference of hand cycled first round versus
subsequent rounds. An issue even with a sig p210 I had (not a hunting gun but...) Another reason I went to revolver.
Anyone have any feedback on what bullets this DW 41 might like? Due to twist speed and all?

Perfect, I love Barney.
Purple...Barney... Now I get it. Sorry I was a bit slow. Don't think he was pro 2A. No wonder he's extinct!
Barney shows up on small frames on the investment cast frame mostly. On large frames and supermag the trigger control is often barney. Even if it looks like no Barney on a small frame if you look in the sunlight there is always a difference in hue between the shroud, cylinder, and sideplate and the cast frame. Personally, a little even colored Barney does not bother me. When it is mottled and pinkish I draw the line.
