I have two questions:

1. How do you post a sginature picture (is that what's it is called?) I tried to do it but could not figure out where to doenload it from??

2. When I go to the topics with unread post I only see maybe 8 at a time. Is there a way to see all the unread posts without opening them all one at a time and then refreshing the screen to update the list?

Thanks for the help screwy

For all pictures that I post on websites I use Photobucket. It has a decent suite of editing tools, and I post links to the photos on websites. My sigline photos are specially sized and edited to fit the space, and there is a place in your profile to place the link.

Regarding the unread Posts, I almost always have 18-30 showing up each day, and with very few exceptions, as Site Supporters, you should be getting flagged for close to that same number each day.

If you are saying that you get a limited number showing up, and then it refreshes to add more, that is something that should go to Jody for assistance. He will want to know how frequently this happens, and what OS and browser you are using.

I can tell you that for the past several weeks, if you log in once a day, and you are a Site Supporter, you should see 15-25 new posts daily.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

This always happens no matter what browser I use, Chrome or IE.  It would be nice to see the whole list and go through it. I sometimes have 40+ to read if I'm off the forum for a day or two.

I see what your saying Jagg, when you scroll down the forum page to the

unread topics part you can only see 8 selections at a time. An even though

there might be a total of 40+ unread topics you only have the option of

reading the 8 preselected ones at the bottom of the forum page after you

have signed in. This list stays the same until one of the topics is read or opened

and then when you go back to the list it is replaced with a new unread topic.

So what you want (i think, correct me if I'm wrong here) is a way to filter

through 40+ unread topics without opening and closing the preselected ones

at the bottom of the Forum page.

Did I just add more confusion here screwy

Go into your Profile (upper right of this screen).

Click on "Setup Your Signature" , that opens up a post reply style window below.

Attach your pic like you would a normal pic.

Then scroll down & click "Update Profile"

As Steve said, size & crop your pic ahead of time, so it's not super huge. Mine is actually on the large side this month (sorry guys), I couldn't get it to look right if I shrink it down more.embarassed I try to usually keep them in the 400x110 range (wide x high) or less, but this one ended up at 402x197.

Regarding the unread topics thing, I don't have a fix for that one either. I have a hunch it's just how the software is built. Maybe Jody could broken-computer it a little, to achieve the desired results.laugh

That's ok--we know you are going to take a new pic anyway to replace that ugly barrel nut laugh...

Jaggman,

I'll see what I can do about listing all the unread topics.  This is controled by the software itself but I might have some options I can configure.

As for the picture if you send it to me I would be glad to add it to your profile.

Actually, Steve mentioned something the other day that I have never thought to try. Click this unread topics box...

...that will bring up all unread topics. Then just pick which ones you want to read, open them up in a new window & presto!

See, I still learn something new each day I log onto thedwf-sign , thanks Steve!laugh

BTW Jagg, that new sig pic is a whole lottadrool right there.worship

That little unread icon does the trick!!

Thanks guys.

CF, thanks for the comp. on the sig pic. It's a little distorted for the size I used for the pic. I'm still experimenting. It would look better with a V2 in the pile, JMHO........occasion.

No...no NO, it would look better if that whole mess was in my living room!rofl

Steve deserves the credit for the icon trick. If he hadn't said something about it, I would still be going...uhhh, where's Waldo?

hehe!
