I agree that it sucks to have one stolen.
Based on the laser-specific info given, about the only person that could help find this one is the guy that stole it.
DUH!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

While I feel bad for the guy who was violated, the lack of specifics indicates he is not too serious about recovering the firearm. Amazing, what's the point of the listing without ANY useful info?
On that note, I'm amazed that the OP found anything related to firearms on Craigslist. There are way too many flag-Nazis here in Austin to allow such a listing to remain for more than 10 minutes. Why 10 minutes? Because CL refreshes listings every 10 minutes. Every once in a while, somebody gets creative and flies under the radar for 2-3 hours. I have managed to score primers from CL once, but they were listed as paintball supplies.

First thing I do when I buy a new firearm is to write down all the identifying information, second is to take pictures of it. In Ref. to craigs list by the other poster, I have really gotten lucky here, and gotten two of my 6 Dan Wessons off of it, but I have to be fast. Some of the creative ad headings I have seen are "bang" "something to kill snakes" boom boom" "Dan Wesson Bike, 357 gears" I got a nice 15-2 from that, "holster for sale" (inside ad, gun included for $450.) "defense" etc. Anything that looks remotely like a firearm I open up; here lately the Nazi's seem to have been more careless, out and out blatant ads have been staying up long. I found too that just about ALL the tattoo parlors here will take firearms in trade for tattoos.
