So I ordered a "Factory CZ/DW" scope mount last week from CZ

it was $34.95 +12 bucks to ship….no problem I really wanted a factory mount.

Today it showed up–NOT a DW mount… yell It is a Weigand combat mount–much bigger and bulkier than the original DW.  I'll post pics later when I calm down.

Not really a big deal, except it wasn't advertised as a weigand, and I could have bought the Weigand anywhere for the same price + $3 shipping.

CZ is about to get a tactful e-mail from me…

Sorry for the rant… you guys understand.

That's a bummer SHOOT!  It's certainly disappointing to look forward to getting a specific item only to find out they sent the wrong thing!

Well... I'm sure if you send the email to CZ\USA it will be lost in cyberspace much the same way our petition was lost in the mail!

Yep – that's the one they have on their website store.  If you look close in the photo you can see the WC logo on the end.

Your blue one looks similar to this one machined at Norwich.

That is never a good feeling to get something different than what you ordered! frown

I thought I saw on DW's online store the scope mounts were on closeout...this must by why, they went with the Weigand.

I might have to make some of the original style ones, not much of a problem as the rails for Steve's scope mount can easily be changed a bit and we will have an exact reproduction of the DW mount!

Now just to get the vertical machining center back online so I can finish all that stuff! yell

Shoot- Given a band saw and a dremel tool, I think you can clean that right up!

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Keith sent me an E-mail--friendly as usual.  All "DW" has left in stock is the blue steel one like I have.

He basically sad I will have to resolve the issue with CZ since I ordered off the website--I should have known better.  I usually call in my orders to one of our DW contacts.

We'll see...

I mounted the Weigand up anyway...looks OK, but sits a little high--of course I'll post a few pics today of the initial setup.

Maybe I'll get another blue steel one from Keith--powdercoat, armaloy, nickel plate, etc...

Anyway, here's the weigand mounted...  714 frame, EWK modified Monson BA, Weaver rings.

Looks good Shoot but I agree I think the other would have looked better.  Now what I think would be cool is if Eric was able to produce a shroud with the mount integrated as one piece.

Please? Please? Pretty Please?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Sad to see that there is such a disconnect between DW and CZ

I agree with you Steve but in another way maybe not so bad after all.

With CZ only owning DW and being somewhat disconnected, I look at DW as still being "Made in America, By Americans". I realise CZ reaps the profits and probably meddles in the works some but I can still put my spin on things if it makes me feel better. Right! big-grin

Agreed… the less CZ has to do with the folk in Norwich the better.   At least they are employing some folks here.  I know all my communications with Keith have always been top notch.

I'll be honest after not getting a reply to our petition it makes me want to sell off my CZ75!

What petition?  Stupid that they didn't respond, whatever it was.

What CZ75 do you have? I have an SP-01 Phantom (fantastic budget blaster), and am thinking about an SP-01 Shadow Tactical

Hope is not a course of action

I picked up a new CZ75 P-01 a couple of years ago.  I really like the way it feels and shoots.

I guess a little over a year ago we did a web campaign and had folks sign a petition to bring back the revolvers.  We got about 250 signatures (names, email address, etc) and sent it to CZ-USA president Alice Poluchova and we didn't receive as much as a form letter response.

Well,,,, I've sent two e-mails to CZ customer service now--both have gone unanswered.  And I requested a reply....

Keith from DW answered me immediately--super guy that he (DW) is.

I can only assume from the lack of response from CZ that they don't care about their customers after the sale.  This lack of simple e-mail response will have to be escalated to a personal phone call--wonder if anyone will answer?
