I ran across another example today:

I guess the price is not high enough, soon enough? As price had not moved in 6 days.
The current high bidder, verticalrich, only has 4 transactions. All as buyer. All buying from this seller.
Coincidence? I think not.
This is one of those that will be decided with 15+ mins left in the auction, unless a new buyer jumps in.

Shoot Straight has banned me from bidding on their items because I would correct the information in the listings. Their loss because more bidders drive prices up. Most of the big sellers have shill bidders. And some of the small ones. Not all are as egregious as Shoot Straight. My dear departed S&W collector buddy said the big sellers shill bid for each other. The items show back up in a couple of months if they happen to get stuck with it. My best purchases have been when the seller makes mistakes or describes the item wrong and the search doesn't find them. Also, bad photos can hurt values but an astute bidder can discern condition. Many sellers leave fingerprints all over the gun and it looks like rust that was scraped off. I don't stay in the bidding if a NR bidder or one with just a couple of transactions is bidding. They are either shill bidders or inexperienced.
