I did see several boxes of .44 Mag rounds at a sporting shop I frequent. It was 280 grain at $34/25. That's just a bit too pricey for me to go target practicing with, and a bit too much powder. I don't need those killa's for home defense and I haven't seen a Moose around lately...
Where are my $27/50 180 Walmart specials?!

I almost hate to say it…but it feels like the worst of the gun rush is over to me
I think so too. The auctions seem to be flattening out. My local shops have loads of new stock in handguns of all kinds, not a lot of ammo is showing up yet but primers are starting to be available. Used handguns are still tight in this area, and we rely on the used market for DW's, but if the auction market is cooling off more used stock will show up in local shops.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Picked up a box (50) of Winchester 44 Mag / 240 gr at Walmart today. First box I've seen of 44's for several months. As there is a limit of 5 boxes, I'm sure someone grabbed the other 5 of 6 they got in. There were several more boxes of the 357 / 120 and a whole bunch of the smaller calibers. I'm getting the feeling the shortage has abated, at least for a while.
