Well, as a follow up to my last thread, the package arrived today. Take a gander at the pics and I will explain below it. Be prepared to do a little LOL
Got this little pup in the mail today (holster, not the gun LOL). Absolutely amazed at the craftsmanship and quality of this holster.
I had been looking for a classic style holster for my D.W. as I thought any wheel gun should have an old-school holster for it. I did some searching and found this guy on eBay, selling holsters for 4" K-Frame revolvers. Seeing as this gun is almost that size, I sent him an email about it, asking if he'd be able to / interested in doing one for me, for my 3" 715-FB. I sent him a pic of the gun so he could judge how long to make the retaining strap, and off her went. From time of first contact, to time of receiving the holster was about a week and a half. Great guy to deal with and HIGHLY recommend him.
I included a pic of his business card in case you guys would like to contact him and get your own lol.
If anybody has any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Nice holster, a real classic, old school look to it.
BTW, there's no such thing as "Pic Heavy"on DWF, anyone ever see a Shooting Forum with more pictures?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

LOL, this is true. I put that so people would know that there were lots of pics inside to look at, and to warn the people with slow computers / slow internet that this post may take a while to load.
And as to the "real classic, old school look", that's exactly why I bought it. A new, hand made holster with old school styling and made the old fashion way. Can't beat it IMO.
Thanks for the compliment!
EDIT: Now I just gotta wait for my LB Custom "Shootist" Grip to come in, then I'll be ready for a photo-shoot for the 2013 calender.

Nice! I do have a question about the holster. It appears to have no stitching, does it have just a rivet at the bottom and the straps across the center and bottom area to keep it in the clam shape?
Thanks,
Roadglide
Yes, just the rivet. The "straps" are really part of the back portion as you can see, slit and then pushed forward around the front. The only "fasteners" in it is the rivet at the bottom to make the "mouth" taper to a smaller size for the barrel, a rivet and snap for the retaining strap, and the hand-stitching for the cartridge loops.
