Some of you may remember that I bought 7 DWs and 2 HSs in a 3 month period back the first of the year. Since then I have not posted much on the forum due to taking the cure for DWAS though I do login to the forum on a regular basis.
My wife decided that we should buy a RV and start camping. I ended up buying a 31 ft. bumper pull trailer. We recently spent 19 out of 25 days in a state park in Alabama on Lake Martin. It's great fun and have met a lot of nice people.
The cure for DWAS is simply a lack of funds now. I agreed to pay the RV payments out of my gun money so I doubt I will be buying any guns for the next few years. Granted, I probably have more guns than I need but not as many as I would like to have.
I still enjoy reading on the forum. If I find a gun that I must have, I can buy it but I think DWAS is a thing of the past.

Congrats on the carefree camper lifestyle. You should realise there is no cure for DWAS it just will lay dormant for periods of time. Then when you least expect it it will flair up like a case of the shingles, just not as itchy!!!

Congrats on the new RV trailer. I do not have the acquisition mania I had a while back, I have enough guns to keep me occupied for now (although I seriously considered a 714 I recently found). When it's time to buy the right gun, you will, and I hope you will continue to hang out with your DWF Friends.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I can assure you that with all the camping I have not missed a day checking in. I can't add much since I'm not in the market for another. I have not been on GB much either. The weather is pretty hot and humid, temp gets to 99-100 everyday. We get a good breeze and a thunderstorm now and then. The lake has 750 miles of shoreline so it's pretty big.
After buying an RV with almost everything I need for camping I found that there was a lot to be bought. I had to put helper springs on my truck (timberin, if you know what they are), 2 bicycles, bicycle hauling rack, new coffee pot, new TV, blue boy (a poop tank that you take poop to the dumping station if you don't have sewage on site), portable grill, lounge chairs, portable ice maker, satallite TV receiver, and it goes on and on. So you see gun funds are short.
I have enjoyed this site, lots of nice guys, very helpful and have learned a lot. I'll check in on a regular basis just to see what's going on.

Is that how that's supposed to work? Hmmm...I haven't brought home a new DW in over a year, yet my post count seems to have a mind of it's own. I guess I've been doing this all wrong.
At least with all these new places you'll be camping, you'll have ample opportunities for some

I went almost 30 years between DW purchases. Let's review that "cured" status in 2041
Seriously, keep in touch. Just because you're not buying DW's doesn't mean you're not loving them.

I'm right there with you, man. As much as I'd love more, I'm still trying to figure out how to come up with the $550 or so needed to get my 15-2s back from Norwich by the time they're done! I haven't posted much as I don't feel I have much to contribute. What little gun money I managed to wrangle has gone for a cheap red dot for my AK and a few trips to the range. My guitars for sale sure don't seem to be doing all that well on the local craigslist...

Yep.. I am not buying any more DW's at present.. well unless one just is but then I would certainly sell one...
Currently I really really just have to buy a reloading press.. I don't really want that hobby... but its the only way to afford to shoot. So saving my pennies for that. I already have about 3000 empty brass and no one to reload it!
I also really want a .357 carbine. The only rifles I own are .22. Once those two desires are met... I will see about finding new DW's to buy, hopefully bigger calibers esp a .44.
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.
4 Monson Model 15's
1 Palmer FB 15
1 Rossi 357 Model 92 (lever)

I have very minimal need for any more DW's (because I have very minimal $$$ to spend). I have a 744 that I will probably sell or trade to pick up the right DW revolver (either a NICE 14-2 or a Model 22), and I always have my eye out for a beater 15-2 that needs refinishing at a great price.
MAYBE going back for a second look at a 714, but he's gotta come off his price by at least $50.
Like I said, not much $$$ available now
